Krieger to Host Two Free Senior Crime Prevention Seminars

GREENSBURG — State Representative Tim Krieger (R-Delmont) is hosting two free Senior Crime Prevention seminars on Thursday, May 31, at the following times and locations: 

        • 10 a.m., New Stanton Volunteer Fire Dept., 108 N. Main St., New Stanton. 
        • 1 p.m., McKenna Senior Center, 971 Old Salem Rd., Greensburg.

The seminars are being presented by the Office of the Attorney General. Topics to be covered include identity theft, home improvement rip-offs, foreign lottery schemes, telemarketing fraud and sweepstakes scams.

Though the seminars concentrate on crimes against older citizens, the information will be useful to people of all ages, especially those whose parents are senior citizens and those who care for the elderly.

Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, so please RSVP to Krieger’s district office at (724) 834-6400 by May 25.
